President Trump announces talks with Tehran resume in Doha today, while Iran insists no meeting with American officials is planned. President Masoud Pezeshkian says the interim deal has the full backing of Supreme Leader Khamenei, even as criticism grows inside Iran and reports emerge of tensions between political figures and the IRGC.

Meanwhile, a new diplomatic row is brewing over the Strait of Hormuz after Iran warned France not to interfere in mine-clearing operations and insisted responsibility for securing the strategic waterway rests exclusively with Tehran. The disruption to shipping through the strait is also raising fears of a difficult winter in Europe, with gas reserves expected to fall to their lowest levels in more than a decade.

In Gaza, efforts to secure Hamas’s disarmament appear to have stalled after the group’s leader, Khalil al-Hayya, reportedly adopted a tougher position in negotiations over the future of the Strip and the implementation of President Trump’s peace plan.

Today’s guest is Hussain Abdul-Hussain, Research Fellow at the FDD and the author of ‘The Arab case for Israel’. He answers skeptics of Israel’s landmark agreement with Lebanon which he says can result in the disarming of Hezbollah and is Lebanon’s last chance to reclaim sovereignty from Tehran.

The United States and Iran are set to resume talks in Qatar on Tuesday to shore up the strained ceasefire after a weekend of renewed hostilities in the Strait of Hormuz.

Key Hezbollah ally, Lebanon’s parliament speaker Nabih Berry says an emerging agreement with Israel ‘will not pass’ The U.S.-backed deal would pave the way for formal peace between Jerusalem and Beirut and link a full Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon to Hezbollah’s disarmament.

The IDF destroys a major Hezbollah tunnel network in southern Lebanon, killing members of the group’s elite Radwan Force and underscoring Israel’s determination to continue targeting Hezbollah infrastructure despite growing diplomatic pressure.

Today’s guest is Dr Meir Javedanfar, Iran lecturer at Reichman University. He says Tehran is furious about developments in Lebanon, where it has failed to secure meaningful protection for its most important proxy, Hezbollah. He argues the Islamic Republic will continue rebuilding its network of regional proxies because they remain one of its most effective tools of deterrence and influence.

The fragile U.S.-Iran agreement is facing fresh pressure after Iran warned that ships entering the Strait of Hormuz without Tehran’s permission “will be dealt with”, despite the deal supposedly guaranteeing freedom of navigation.

Speaking in Bahrain, Secretary of State Marco Rubio reassured Gulf allies that Washington will not accept any agreement that allows Iran to control one of the world’s most important shipping lanes.

Meanwhile, questions remain over the future of Israel’s operations in southern Lebanon after an Israeli reserve soldier was killed in an operational accident. Israel has not confirmed reports that it has withdrawn from part of the security zone.

Shin Bet security officials warn that Iran is increasingly shifting its focus to the West Bank by rebuilding terror networks through Turkey, cryptocurrency funding and weapons smuggling.

Today’s guest is Andrew Fox, Senior fellow at the Henry Jackson Society. He breaks down a UN panel report which accuses Israel of deliberately targeting children in Gaza. He argues the report by three activists is evidence free and is designed to bolster South Africa’s flagging genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice.

A week after Washington and Tehran signed an interim agreement, confusion continues over its implementation, with Iranian officials and the International Atomic Energy Agency offering conflicting accounts of when UN nuclear inspectors will be allowed back into the country.

Meanwhile, concern Israel is being left out of plans for Southern Lebanon with Qatar and Iran all having a say in a future ‘deconfliction mechanism’. The Trump administration is pushing for a vetted Lebanese Army to gradually take control of parts of the country currently held by the IDF. Israel’s ambassador to Washington warns the talks risk becoming a “train wreck” if Iran’s influence is not addressed.

Iran’s foreign minister has held talks with a senior Hamas official following the agreement, while Morocco has become the first Arab country to deploy personnel to the U.S.-backed international stabilization force being assembled for Gaza.

Today’s guest is Dalia Ziada, Middle East scholar and Senior Fellow at ISGAP, who argues that the agreement between Washington and Tehran is less a breakthrough than a “memorandum of misunderstanding” that risks alarming America’s Gulf allies while leaving the region’s biggest security challenges unresolved.

A fragile U.S.-Iran agreement is facing fresh scrutiny after Iranian officials deny UN Nuclear inspectors are due to visit the country. President Trump is waiving sanctions for 60 days and potentially unlocking billions of dollars for the regime.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio heads to the Gulf amid questions over Washington’s strategy and growing American scepticism about whether the deal can curb Iran’s nuclear ambitions or regional threats.

Meanwhile, Israel and Lebanon are holding another round of talks in Washington, but concerns are mounting over the future of Israel’s operations in the north. Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett warns that Hezbollah is openly regrouping and rearming while restrictions on the IDF’s freedom of action are putting Israeli soldiers’ lives at risk.

And fears that the emerging agreement with Iran could leave Israel in a weaker strategic position have rattled local markets. The shekel has fallen more than three per cent against the dollar over the past month, while shares in the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange have dropped around 20 per cent.

Today’s guest is William Daroff, CEO of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. He warns that American Jews are feeling the squeeze from rising antisemitism on both the right and the left, yet remains hopeful that a more peaceful Middle East could eventually reduce the obsessive focus on Jews.

Iran has begun exporting millions of barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz as an interim agreement with the United States comes into force, with mediators Qatar and Pakistan claiming that Washington and Tehran have agreed on a framework for talks aimed at reaching a permanent deal within 60 days. But Iranian state media says the country’s nuclear programme was not even discussed during the marathon negotiations, raising fresh doubts about the durability of the agreement.

Meanwhile, Israel and the United States appear to have reached an understanding that the IDF will remain in southern Lebanon for the foreseeable future, although Israel may face new restrictions on its military operations and closer coordination with CENTCOM. Jerusalem is also considering handing over a major Hezbollah tunnel and military complex to the Lebanese army as a test of Beirut’s willingness to confront the Iranian-backed group.

Elsewhere, a major explosion at Qatar’s flagship Ras Laffan LNG hub has left dozens injured and several people missing.

And the first British Prime Minister to recognise a State of Palestine has resigned. Sir Keir Starmer’s premiership was beset by low approval ratings and u-turns. He also clashed with the Jewish community over his failure to get to grips with soaring antisemitism.

Today’s guest is Aditya Raj Kaul, Senior Executive Editor at NDTV. He argues that the Trump administration has abandoned many of its original objectives in its rush to end the war and warns that, despite the ceasefire, the Middle East is now more dangerous than it was three months ago.

The future of the new U.S.-Iran agreement is already in doubt after Vice President JD Vance cancelled planned talks with Iranian officials in Switzerland, raising fresh questions about whether the fragile 60-day ceasefire can hold.

Four Israeli soldiers were killed in one of Hezbollah’s deadliest attacks in months when an apparent drone or anti-tank missile struck their tank in southern Lebanon. France has called on the United States to pressure Israel to halt its military operations, even as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu resists American pressure to withdraw troops from southern Lebanon.

At the same time, Reuters reports that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have established secret new cells in Iraq to launch attacks on Gulf states hosting American forces, suggesting Tehran is adapting its regional strategy as many of its traditional proxy groups have been weakened.

And despite war and regional uncertainty, Tel Aviv has once again been ranked the world’s fourth most valuable startup ecosystem, with Israel’s high-tech sector continuing to drive economic growth and attract investment.

Today’s guest is Professor Kobi Michael, Senior Fellow at the Misgav Institute, who discusses the growing strains in the U.S.-Israel relationship and the likelihood of the US and Iran reaching a permanent agreement.

The memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran has now been signed, the Strait of Hormuz has reopened and oil prices have fallen, raising hopes that one of the biggest supply shocks in modern history may be coming to an end.

But Israel and the United States are locked in what have been described as “stubborn talks” over Israel’s presence in southern Lebanon after another IDF soldier was killed by a Hezbollah explosive device. Tehran and Hezbollah accuse Israel of violating the ceasefire arrangements.

Meanwhile, a new rift is emerging between Washington and its regional partners. The Trump administration revealed how it stripped Oman of its role as mediator with Iran, accusing Muscat of acting in a “two-faced” manner, while Gulf states are reportedly seeking to reduce their dependence on American security guarantees and explore alternative defence partnerships.

Today’s guest is Ruth Wasserman Lande, Former MK and Senior Fellow at the Misgav Institute, who argues such a terrible agreement can only be a ruse or, more worryingly, the result of Qatar’s undue influence on the Trump administration. _____________________________________________________________________________________

Iranian oil tankers leave the Strait of Hormuz for the first time since March as leaked details of a 14-point memorandum of understanding suggest Tehran could begin selling oil immediately and eventually gain access to a $300 billion reconstruction fund.

The International Energy Agency says the global oil market should gradually recover if the agreement holds and the Strait of Hormuz fully reopens. After one of the largest supply disruptions in history, the agency predicts a surplus of oil next year as Gulf production recovers and Iranian exports resume.

Meanwhile, the IDF has carried out fresh airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon. Iran and Hezbollah claim this is a ceasefire violation but Israel says IDF troops will remain in Southern Lebanon for as long as is necessary.

A new poll by Israel’s public broadcaster KAN suggests the Iran deal has given a boost to Former IDF chief Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party, while support for both Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud and Naftali Bennett’s Together party has fallen.

Violent clashes have erupted between police and ultra-Orthodox protesters demonstrating against the arrest of draft dodgers.

And Israel is attempting to reignite one of the engines that helped create the Start-Up Nation. The government has unveiled a new plan to help universities turn scientific discoveries into successful businesses after a sharp decline in academic start-ups and patents in recent years.

Today’s guest is Asher Fredman, Executive Director of the Misgav Institute, who discusses his new report on how American taxpayers are funding pro-China and anti-Israel policies through the United Nations.

President Trump is expected to release details of his proposed agreement with Iran before it is formally signed in Geneva on Friday. But what has emerged so far has been met with alarm in Israel, particularly reports that Tehran could gain access to a $300 billion reconstruction fund and receive sweeping sanctions relief. The agreement would also reopen the Strait of Hormuz and launch a new 60-day negotiating process on Iran’s nuclear programme, while leaving major questions over Iran’s missiles and proxy network unanswered.

Meanwhile, senior Iranian officials have told the Financial Times that the war proved only military force, not diplomacy, can protect the regime. They claim the conflict strengthened the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and demonstrated that the United States and Israel failed to destroy Iran’s underground missile infrastructure.

In Israel, Air Force chief Major General Omer Tischler has revealed that the Israeli Air Force was just one hour away from launching a massive strike on hundreds of targets deep inside Iran before the mission was abruptly called off. Reports suggest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu halted the operation after President Trump urged Israel not to escalate the conflict further.

And in Paris, a diplomatic row has erupted after France blocked Israeli companies from displaying offensive weapons at the Eurosatory defence exhibition and boarded up several Israeli stands. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar accused France of boycotting Israeli firms out of fear of competition, saying countries around the world would continue buying Israeli defence products because they are “simply better.”

Today’s guest is former Spokesman for the State of Israel, Eylon Levy, who weighs whether the emerging US-Iran deal represents a strategic victory for Tehran.

For a second straight day, the United States and Iran have exchanged fire, with American forces striking Iranian surveillance and air defence sites and Tehran responding with missile attacks on US military facilities across the Gulf. Despite the escalation, negotiations reportedly remain on track.

The latest violence has also claimed civilian lives. Three Indian sailors were killed after a US strike on a commercial tanker in the Gulf of Oman, prompting a formal protest from New Delhi. Meanwhile, Kuwait briefly closed its airspace and an 11-year-old girl was injured in Bahrain by falling debris from Iranian attacks.

In Lebanon, Saudi Arabia has lifted a five-year ban on imports, signalling a possible thaw in relations with Beirut after years of tension over Iranian influence.

Saudi reports claim Palestinian factions including Hamas have a counterproposal which they hope President Trump will pressure Israel to accept. It involves the gradual storage of weapons and military infrastructure leading to full IDF withdrawal.

Today’s guest is Gaza native and Atlantic Council senior fellow Ahmed Fouad AlKhatib, who discusses the future of Gaza after Hamas and what a realistic path toward reconstruction and stability might look like.

The Middle East is facing its most serious escalation since the April ceasefire, after Iran launched attacks against Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan in retaliation for US strikes on Iranian targets. Despite the violence, President Trump insists negotiations with Tehran remain on track and says there is no reason the latest confrontation should derail a nuclear deal.

At the same time, Israel continues to strike Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, with the IDF issuing fresh evacuation orders and accusing the terror group of repeatedly violating a US-brokered ceasefire.

Today’s guest is Israel’s former National Security Advisor and FDD senior fellow Eyal Hulata, who expresses concern over how much the US and Israel share the same goals with regard to Iran and who says Israel’s political considerations are affecting national security decisions.

Concerns are also growing that Iran has activated its proxies in Yemen. A UK-flagged cargo ship has reported coming under fire in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, while the Houthis have announced a complete ban on Israeli-linked maritime traffic in the Red Sea.

Former hostage Rom Braslavski has met President Trump at the White House, thanking him for helping secure his freedom after 738 days in Hamas captivity. Braslavski has previously spoken about the torture and abuse he endured while being held in Gaza.

And despite the regional turmoil, ties between Israel and the UAE appear stronger than ever. More than 30 Israeli religious and civil society leaders have travelled to Abu Dhabi as part of the largest interfaith delegation ever to visit the Gulf state, in a show of support for the Abraham Accords and regional cooperation.

Yemen’s Houthis fire a drone at the Red Sea city of Eilat. The Iranian-backed group resumed strikes on Israel for the first time in months.

Today’s guest is FDD CEO Mark Dubowitz, who argues that linking the Lebanon front to negotiations with Iran would hand Tehran a major victory. He also warns that diplomacy alone will not stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions nor will it keep the Strait of Hormuz permanently open.

In Gaza, three senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad commanders have been killed in an Israeli airstrike. The IDF says they were involved in rebuilding the terror group’s military infrastructure and planning attacks against Israeli forces despite the ceasefire.

President Trump tells Iran and Israel to stop shooting at each other after the first direct attacks since a ceasefire was brokered two months ago

Sirens sound across Israel as Iran fires more than 20 ballistic missiles and Israel responds with strikes on multiple Iranian targets, including the strategically important Mahshahr petrochemical facility.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says it is prepared for a war on multiple fronts and claims the missile barrage was retaliation for Israeli strikes on Hezbollah’s Beirut stronghold.

Meanwhile, Yemen’s Houthis have announced a “complete and total ban” on Israeli maritime navigation in the Red Sea, threatening to target all Israeli-linked vessels and raising fresh concerns about global shipping routes through the Bab el-Mandeb chokepoint.

Today’s guest is analyst and Tanakh scholar Saul Sadka who tells us not to pay too much attention to reports of a spat between PM Netanyahu and President Trump, that Iran is less of a threat to Israel than to its neighbours and that today is a great time to be a Jew!

In Cairo, Egypt, Qatar and Turkey are holding talks with Palestinian factions including Hamas in an effort to advance the next phase of the Gaza ceasefire, though Hamas continues to reject demands that it disarm before a full Israeli withdrawal from the Strip.

And in Europe, Slovenia’s new Prime Minister Janez Janša has lowered the Palestinian flag from government headquarters and pledged a more balanced foreign policy, reversing the strongly anti-Israel stance of the previous administration.

According to a Wall Street Journal report, Trump has privately told advisers he would only resume full-scale military operations if American troops are killed.

At the same time, the IDF continues to strike Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon despite a US-brokered truce. Defence Minister Israel Katz says Israeli forces will maintain positions north of the border, including at the strategic Beaufort Castle captured this week.

Iran attacks its Arab neighbours, killing one in Kuwait, as the US strikes Iranian military targets in the worst escalation since the ceasefire was brokered 2 months ago.

At the same time, Israel and Hezbollah continue to trade fire despite a partial ceasefire brokered by the United States. The IDF has issued evacuation warnings for several towns and villages in southern Lebanon ahead of fresh airstrikes, while four Israeli soldiers were wounded in a Hezbollah drone attack on Tuesday.

Israel’s government has meanwhile approved a major financial package aimed at rebuilding and fortifying communities along the Lebanese border. The plan includes thousands of new bomb shelters, compensation for damaged homes and a sweeping five-year reconstruction effort focused on infrastructure, healthcare and local industry.

And Israel has barred entry to Palestinian-American activist Linda Sarsour, accusing her of promoting anti-Israel campaigns and supporting protests backing Hamas after the October 7 attacks. Israel eliminates another senior Hamas commander with Mohammed Ouda assassinated less than a fortnight after the killing of his predecessor. He was reportedly tracked for weeks before being killed in an overnight strike in Gaza. He played a central role in planning the October 7 attacks and was among the last senior Hamas commanders still operating in the Strip.

In Lebanon, the IDF has carried out one of its heaviest waves of strikes in months after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to intensify military pressure on Hezbollah. More than 100 Hezbollah targets were reportedly hit overnight, while Hezbollah continues rocket and drone attacks into northern Israel.

Iran has warned it’s ready to resume war and vows to turn its entire coastline into a “graveyard for aggressors”.

Today’s guest is Military and Strategic affairs analyst Yaakov Lappin. He discusses what he believes is the only way to defeat Hamas in the long term, why stop and start warfare is making it difficult to obtain victory in Lebanon and Iran and why he doesn’t buy the defeatist talking points about the deal with Tehran

Also, Israeli lawmakers are advancing legislation that could dissolve parliament and trigger early elections by the autumn.

Plus — Israir says it plans to launch direct Tel Aviv–New York flights this summer, stepping into the gap left by major US airlines that continue to delay their return to Israel.

The US says it has carried out strikes on Iranian missile sites and vessels allegedly laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz, as negotiations with Tehran appear to be faltering despite continued diplomatic efforts in Doha.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio says the Strait will remain open “one way or another,” while reports suggest talks are stalled over Iran’s nuclear program and access to frozen Iranian funds — though a temporary 60-day framework agreement may still be possible.

Joining us is Iranian dissident Ravin Khorshid Alam to discuss what Iranians make of the latest developments and fears that any agreement could strengthen the regime rather than weaken it.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia doubles down on refusing to normalize ties with Israel without an irreversible path toward a Palestinian state, despite pressure from President Trump to expand the Abraham Accords.

The head of the Shin Bet, David Zini, reportedly met exiled Palestinian figure Mohammed Dahlan in Abu Dhabi, fueling fresh speculation about possible plans for postwar Gaza and the UAE’s growing role.

In Lebanon, the IDF says it has struck dozens of Hezbollah targets after Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered a “crushing blow” against the group. Former defence minister Avigdor Liberman warns Hezbollah drones could soon threaten Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

President Trump says he’s in no rush to strike a deal with Iran — but leaked details of the negotiations are already triggering alarm in Israel. Questions remain over how much of Tehran’s nuclear program would actually be dismantled, whether Lebanon would be included in any agreement, and whether Iran would retain influence over the Strait of Hormuz.

Joining us is Raphael Ben Levi, senior fellow at the Misgav Institute and director of the Churchill Program at the Argaman Institute, to break down what may really be taking shape behind the scenes.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio says there will either be a “good deal” with Iran — or “another way” — while accusing Hezbollah of trying to drag Lebanon back into chaos after its leader called for an uprising against the Lebanese government.

In southern Lebanon, the IDF has confirmed the death of 19-year-old Sergeant Nehoray Leizer after an explosive drone attack. Twenty-three Israeli soldiers have now been killed since the ceasefire came into effect in April.

Israel has also summoned Spain’s top diplomat after accusing Spanish police of using “severe violence” against Gaza flotilla activists returning home from Israel. Jerusalem says Spain is condemning Israel while ignoring its own police conduct — and claims at least one flotilla activist had links to Hamas and was under US sanctions.

And Israel’s ultra-Orthodox parties have rejected the latest draft of a controversial military conscription bill, threatening Netanyahu’s coalition and raising the prospect of early elections as the IDF warns of a growing manpower shortage.👉 Watch now for your fast, fact-based Middle East briefing.

Today’s guest is Kasra Aarabi, Director of IRGC Research at UANI. He says the British government is putting politics ahead of national security in its handling of Iran and the IRGC.

Meanwhile, oil shipments are cautiously resuming through the Strait of Hormuz, easing pressure on global markets after weeks of disruption caused by the conflict.

Iranian-backed militias in Iraq continue launching drones toward the UAE, including an attack that triggered a fire near the Barakah nuclear power plant. The UAE says the facility remains secure, though the UN’s nuclear watchdog has warned a direct hit could cause a major radioactive incident.

The IDF has confirmed the death of reservist officer Itamar Sapir during fighting in southern Lebanon after Hezbollah operatives opened fire from inside a church in the border village of Qouza.

Israeli naval commandos have intercepted all remaining vessels in the Turkish-led Gaza flotilla operation, detaining hundreds of activists as Israel says the maritime blockade will remain in force under international law.

President Trump says Gulf Arab leaders persuaded him to hold off on strikes and give negotiations one final chance, while today’s guest, Dr. Eli David, argues Trump is conducting “perfect psychological warfare” and keeping Tehran uncertain about when or whether military action could begin.

Iran has outlined sweeping demands for any agreement with Washington, including sanctions relief, access to frozen assets, continued uranium enrichment rights, and long-term influence over the Strait of Hormuz, while Trump insists any deal must permanently block Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

A new security assessment warns Iran has spent the ceasefire preparing for a potentially intense renewed conflict, conserving much of its missile arsenal for sustained attacks against Israel, Gulf states and American targets.

Israeli naval forces have intercepted dozens of vessels linked to a Turkish-led flotilla attempting to reach Gaza, while several boats remain en route to the Strip.

New shipping data suggests Iran has been unable to export crude oil for four weeks under the U.S. naval blockade, while Tehran attempts to rally BRICS nations behind a new “Hormuz Protocol” aimed at formalizing Iranian control over the strategic waterway.

Meanwhile, confusion surrounds reports of a secret visit by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the United Arab Emirates. Netanyahu’s office says the trip took place earlier this year, while Abu Dhabi publicly denies it ever happened, raising fresh questions about the quiet relationship between Israel and one of its closest regional partners.

New reports shed light on the hidden Gulf role in the war with Iran. Reuters says Saudi Arabia carried out strikes on Iranian-backed militias in Iraq, while Kuwait reportedly launched operations in response to Iranian drone and missile attacks, pointing to a broader regional campaign against Tehran and its proxies.
